Inter-generational Quran competition that builds spiritual literacy and respect across age groups in Hulhumalé.
The Annual Quran Recitation Competition is one of the longest running and most cherished programmes organised by Hulhumalé Community Alliance. Held every year, it brings together residents from across Hulhumalé to celebrate the recitation of the Holy Quran in an atmosphere of reverence, encouragement, and shared faith. The competition welcomes participants of all ages, including young children, school students, youth, and adults, giving every member of the community an opportunity to take part regardless of their background or level of experience.
More than a contest, the event is a gathering that strengthens the spiritual bonds within the community. It nurtures a love for the Quran among the younger generation while honouring the knowledge and dedication of older participants, creating a meaningful space where different generations come together around a common purpose.
